Mohair and Gauze Scarf

Mohair and Gauze Scarf

I invented a quick loom technique to make this lovely piece using Liz Cherry’s Winter White Gauze Mohair yarn. Liz spins her yarn from her cherished mohair goats, and adds lovely bits to them – in this case some vintage gauze. I put this piece together with some silk from Habu Textiles and then added some tiny vintage buttons here and there just for fun. When Liz saw it yesterday she loved it, and that made me very happy.

You will find this and much more at my A. Korotky Studio Holiday Bazaar next Saturday, Dec. 7. And if you can’t make it, come by for the two additional open studios here Dec. 14, and Dec. 21. Contact me at akorotkystudio@gmail.com for more information.
